‘We’re told’: Sky Sports journalist drops fresh Armando Broja update live on air
Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have both been linked with Chelsea forward Armando Broja in the latter stages of the January transfer window.
Now, with just hours to go before the window slams shut, it looks as though the Blues man will be heading to the Cottagers rather than Wolves.
Both Fulham and Wolves could do with bolstering their attacking ranks, while Broja could do with more game time, having played for just 695 minutes for Chelsea this term.
Over the past few hours, we’ve had Fabrizio Romano on Broja to Fulham, with agreement reached between the two west London sides for a season-long loan.
The transfer insider also just after 6:30pm that the 22-year-old Cottagers and Wolves target was undergoing a medical at Motspur Park.

Chelsea forward Armando Broja is “not far away at all” from Fulham training ground
Meanwhile, Sky Sports News journalist Gary Cotterill reported live on air – as of 7:12pm on the – that he was expecting Broja to arrive imminently.
“He’s not far away, he’s not got far to come,” he said. “We’re expecting him to arrive imminently, we’re told he’s not far away at all.
“Being so close will have been a factor if he was given a choice between Wolves on loan and Fulham, it won’t disrupt his personal life at all.
“He’ll come here and play, with Raul Jimenez sidelined with a hamstring injury too. He’ll be coming in with a chance to prove himself.”
Cotterill also spoke about the financial side of the deal, claiming Chelsea have lowered their demands from £5million to between £3million and £4million.
“At first, Fulham earlier today were saying they couldn’t afford to do the deal on the table,” he continued. “There was talk of a £5million loan fee up front and paying his wages up front.
“We understand that fee has dropped, and if all the boxes are ticked we understand that will now reach between £3m-£4million.
“They can do that deal a bit easier, and I think Marco Silva will be very happy.”
It looks as though Broja to Fulham is imminent now, and if everything goes according to plan, it shouldn’t be long before the official announcements begin doing the rounds.
