‘We’re really excited about him’: Marsch thinks 23-year-old will explode for Leeds this season
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has praised Luis Sinisterra, saying he’s excited about what he’ll bring to his team.
The Whites signed the Colombia international early in July, making him their sixth signing of the summer.
Leeds reportedly paid Feyenoord to sign Sinisterra, who has penned a five-year contract at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old joined the Whites just as Raphinha was closing in on a move to Barcelona.
Leeds fans haven’t seen much of Sinisterra so far, due to injury.
The attacking ace picked up a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace in Australia.
This means Sinisterra had to watch Leeds’ Premier League opener against Wolves from the stand at Elland Road.
However, the summer signing was fit enough to make his debut off the bench against Southampton last weekend.
“I think he will prove to be a very valuable player”
Marsch, speaking to , bemoaned Sinisterra’s injury issues so early on in his Leeds career.
However, the Leeds boss admitted that he and his coaches are excited about what their new winger can offer.
Marsch also acknowledged comparisons with Raphinha, but stressed that the two players are quite different.
“Raphinha is unique, but Luis has the ability to run and to play one versus one,” Marsch said.
“He’s a really intelligent footballer, specifically with the ball and in tight spaces – and he’s also a finisher.
“So, I could see the comparison with Raphinha, but they’re quite different, too.
“We’re really excited about him.
“It’s been a shame he picked up the injury against Palace because we want to get him going and integrate him into our team.
“I think he’s going to create combinations and last plays and he plays with intensity – he’s fast and works hard.
“Time will tell but I wouldn’t want to put that kind of burden on him, to be Raphinha – but I think he will prove to be a very valuable player.”
Leeds are next in action on Sunday, when they host Chelsea at Elland Road.
