‘We’re missing’… Cameron Carter-Vickers tells Celtic what they really need to do in the January transfer window
Celtic’s recent slump in form has put a laser focus on Brendan Rodgers and what he needs to do to take this team forward.
The Hoops have been limping along this season but still remain five points clear at the top of the table. Albeit Rangers have ✤two games in hand.
However, with Brendan Rodgers constantly telling the fans that he needs to add quality to the team, Cameron Carter-Vickers is in no ꦆdoubt wha🍸t Celtic must do when the January window opens.
Carter-Vickers ♏said [], “You have to freshen up the place.
“You lose five or six big players from last season, so you then have to go🐷 and replace that if you want to keep on being successful.
“You have to find a way to rejuvenate the team and find the next Jota, find the next crop of players that are going to go and make you suc✨cessful.
“So, that’s a target for the club all the time and they are always looking. We’re missing the quꦰality from last season and so we needಌ to add to that. I think that’s obvious.”
Cameron Carter-Vickers’ Celtic transfer message is bang on the money
The US defender was spot on here. If you look at the players 💞Celtic lost in the summer compared to what they replaced them with, the difference in quality is stark.
Jota: Hyunjun Yang, Marco Tilio, the return of Mikey Johnston and Luis Palma. The Honduran is the only one who gets close to being called a success and even then that isn’t close enough.
Aaron Mooy: Hyeokkyu Kwon and Odin Thiago Holm. Whilst Holm has looked promising, he is sti🌌ll a kid. And Kwon hasn’t even made an appearance for the Cel🔯tic first team yet.
Carl Starfelt: Gustaf Lagerbielke, Maik Nawrocki and Nat Phillips. The Swede is set to leave Celtic, Nawrocki is playing second fiddle to Phillips and as for the on-loan Liverpool defender, he has looked out of his depth.
And before that Celtic also lost the likes of Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic.
In short, there is a lot of work needing to ♔be done and the Celtic ♊fans will be hoping that Rodgers has his Santa list all drawn up and ready to go.
