‘Weird’: Patrick Bamford says it was odd seeing how 23-year-old Leeds United player reacted in dressing room after Aston Villa draw

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been speaking to the and says it was odd seeing how Luis Sinisterra reacted in the dressing room after the Aston Villa game.

Leeds held on for a goalless draw at Elland Road yesterday after being reduced to 10 men early in the second-half.

Sinisterra picked up a second yellow card in the 48th minute of the game and was sent off. The 23-year-old attempted to stop Villa from taking a quick free-kick and picked up a needless booking.

And Bamford has said that it was strange to see Sinisterra without a smile on his face in the Leeds dressing room after the game.

Bamford on how Sinisterra reacted

, Bamford says the Colombian winger is usually a happy person but was clearly down after being dismissed yesterday.

“He’s a happy guy generally, so it’s weird to see him straight faced and head between his knees a little bit but he’ll be fine,” he said.

“It’s only a one-game ban I think, so he’ll be fine and back and playing well for us again soon.”

It was a needless second booking for Sinisterra yesterday and Roy Keane labelled it ‘daft’ on Sky Sports after the game.

The winger looked like a real bright spark for Jesse Marsch’s side before being dismissed.

Sinisterra has got off to a promising start to his Leeds career, having registered three goals and one assist in seven appearances.

But the Colombia international will want to move on quickly from his mistake yesterday. He’ll be happy that his teammates held strong to secure a point in the end though.

Marsch has brought in a host of young, exciting players and incidents like Sinisterra’s red card yesterday are bound to happen here and there.

The American boss will certainly take encouragement from the fighting spirit his side showed to prevent Villa from taking all three points.
