‘We are finished, bad news’: Some Arsenal fans really aren’t happy after transfer update

Arsenal fans are not pleased with the suggestion that Houssem Aouar is set to stay at Lyon for another season.

Arsenal pushed hard to sign Aouar back in 2020, but were unable to do a deal.

Worsening mood

The reaction from Arsenal fans rather sums up the mood around the Emirates Stadium at the moment.

Arsenal are yet to pick up a point in the Premier League, and there is a real feeling that they have failed to perform the major surgery the squad needed.

Although Arsenal spent a sizeable sum, their starting line-up doesn’t seem to have improved drastically in terms of quality.

Aouar certainly could have brought some creativity and poise to their midfield ranks.

But it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will return for Aouar at a later date, with him now set to stick around at Lyon at least until the new year.
