‘We all know’: Jamaal Lascelles shares what Eddie Howe wrote on signs he put up at Newcastle United’s training ground

Jamaal Lascelles has shared what Eddie Howe has written on signs around Newcastle United’s training ground to motivate the squad.

It was a good start to Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup campaign, overcoming a tricky tie against Tranmere Rovers.

Eddie Howe’s side went a goal behind against their League Two opposition, before Jamaal Lascelles and Chris Wood secured the Magpies passage to the third round.

: “100%, we’ve always dreamed of it (winning a trophy) and🃏 tried for that, but it seems more realistic with this manager.

“From pre-season he was speaking about it, and the league is huge for us, but these cup games a♕re just as important, and we approached 🀅it that way.

“He put signs up around ღthe training ground about 67 years, we a൲ll know the importance of it, and the importance to the fans of giving them something.

“ꦆWe’re going to give it a real go, and we started that way tonight.”

Lascelles shares what Howe wrote on Newcastle training ground signs

Newcastle fan🤡s have been starved of a major tr⛎ophy for a long time now.

The Magpies have won several smaller competitions, such as the Anglo-Italian Cup and Intertoto Cup since their 1🎃955 FA Cup triumph.

They also lifted the Championship title on their way back to the Premier League in 2💯017.

However, none of these trophies 🤡match up to winning major honours, and Eddie Howe clearly seems determined to change ཧthat.

The players being reminded of these past successes will motivate them going forward, and Lascelles clearly believes Howe is the right manager to leꦡad them to that firstꦑ trophy in 67 years.

Newcastle’s next opponents in the Carabao Cup are Crystal Palace, but they’ll face to wait until November to see if this cup run can continu꧙e.

They might have several new faces through the door by then, with one poten𒅌tial signing possibly about to break their tran❀sfer record.

There could also be departures as well, with Newcastle’s half-time substitute against Tranmere linked with a move to Fran🌌ce.
