Watford’s Mady Camara interest should encourage Everton with Abdoulaye Doucoure hunt

Watford are reportedly interested in signing Mady Camara. , Olympiacos midfielder Camara is a target for the Hornets.

Camara is rated at €10m (just over £8.5m) and he operates as a holding midfielder. He can also drop into centre-back if needed.

The 22-year-old Guinea international might be considered by Watford to be Abdoulaye Doucoure’s long-term replacement.

And Watford’s interest in Camara should spark Everton into action and encourage them to press ahead with a summer move.

It is no secret that Everton are keen on Doucoure with many outlets – – reporting Marco Silva’s interest.

Silva and Doucoure worked together at Watford and now they could reunite at Goodison Park. And with Javi Gracia looking at Camara, it could suggest that Watford are unsure on Doucoure’s long-term future.

The 26-year-old is a rampaging box-to-box midfielder who has enjoyed an impressive season, helping his team to the FA Cup final.

Doucoure has netted five goals and added a further six assists this season. But he is the complete midfielder, contributing defensively as well as going forward.

But the project with Silva at Everton might tempt the Frenchman away from Vicarage Road. And with Camara potentially replacing Doucoure, Everton should be thinking about a summer move.
