Watford boss insists Everton summer target Abdoulaye Doucoure is ready for Goodison Park clash
Watford boss Javi Gracia has insisted that Everton’s summer transfer target Abdoulaye Doucoure is ready to face the Toffees this weekend. , Watford rejected a £32 million bid for the Frenchman in the summer and informed the Toffees the 26-year-old was not for sale.
the Watford boss played down Doucoure’s insipid opening day display against Brighton, in which he scored an own goal.

The Spaniard went on to make it clear that it was a strong statement of intent from the Hornets to have rejected Everton’s advances for the player this summer.
“Yes. I am sure of that (Doucoure is 100% committed).
“Doucoure is no different from the other players. He is focused every day on trying to improve.
“Is it a statement by Watford to have said ‘no’ to Everton? Yes. Last season they bought one of our best players, Richarlison, and afterwards we got four points in the two games against them.”

Whilst Doucoure had a dismal opening day of the season Everton fans will know just how impressive the midfielder can be.
This weekend’s clash could easily see Doucoure back to his best, which would give Everton a tough task.
Marco Silva, who first started to get the best out of Doucoure at Vicarage Road, will no that well – hence why Everton were willing to pay £32 million on the player.
Everton fans will, however, hope that the midfielder is suffering from distraction and puts in another poor performance at Goodison Park on Saturday.
