‘Wants to go’… West Ham are about to receive improved bid for £24m player

It now seems as if West Ham United could be the most active of all Premier League sides before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

As well as a few incoming deals, it seems there’s still the possibility of several players leaving David Moyes’ team.

West Ham rejected a bid for defender Ben Johnson yesterday, who they now hope to sign to a new deal.

However, there seems to be a lot more willingness to part ways with the likes of Said Benrahma.

A move to Lyon looks to be progressing quickly for the Algerian, who could be sold as soon as today.

But Benrahma isn’t the only winger who could be leaving West Ham before the transfer deadline, with the club now expecting to receive a fresh bid for Pablo Fornals.

The Spaniard, who signed for in 2019, has been on the periphery of things of late, and Real Betis have shown strong interest.

And according to Sky Sports journalist , Betis are expected to make an improved offer on the bid previously rejected, with Fornals now very keen to leave.

He said: “Real Betis expected to make improved offer for midfielder Pablo Fornals after West Ham rejected their opening bid. Fornals wants to go.

“Incomings: time running out for West Ham to bring in players with potential moves for Ibrahim Osman & Jota proving problematic.”

Of course, this may now be a little worrying from a West Ham fan perspective ahead of Thursday’s deadline.

Whilst most would admit that it’s time for the likes of Benrahma and Fornals to move on, they shouldn’t do so without replacement.

Moyes’ squad already looks thin beyond the starting XI, meaning the duo would surely need to be replaced with at least one new face.

West Ham are still juggling Premier League football alongside their Europa League run, and the schedule certainly won’t get any easier.

That being said, West Ham are doing everything in their power to conclude one deal
