‘Walks into the team’: Pundit says 23-year-old London rival is better than every midfielder Tottenham currently have
Jamie O’Hara believes West Ham United star Declan Rice is better than every midfielder Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has at his disposal.
Spurs made it a point to strengthen their midfield in the January transfer window.
After being linked to a whole host of players from across Europe, Fabio Paratici went back to his old club and secured a deal for Rodrigo Bentancur.
The Uruguayan is proving to be a fine signing for Tottenham, but O’Hara believes Bentancur and other midfielders at Spurs don’t even come close to Rice.

Speaking about Rice on , O’hara claimed that the West Ham star is better than Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson and every midfielder that Spurs have in their squad.
He said: “How the hell have you two put him in a Liverpool team? He gets in Liverpool’s team, he gets in Liverpool’s team. Come on! He’s better than Henderson.”
Speaking about how Rice compares to Tottenham players, O’Hara said: “He walks into the team. He takes over any of them – Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Harry Winks.
“Declan Rice is on another level to all of them.”

It’s not very often than O’Hara has something to say that’s against Tottenham but when he does, he is usually right.
Rice is arguably the best central midfielder in the Premier League. The West Ham man is absolutely incredible and the fact that he’s still only 23 means that he’ll get even better in the coming years.
Tottenham’s midfield duo – Bentancur and Hojbjerg – is a decent one. Both of them are good players in their own right, but they aren’t even on the same level as Rice.
It will be interesting to see if Rice will remain a West Ham player at the start of next season. Tottenham would definitely love him, but that’s one move that won’t happen this summer.
