‘Wake up’: Newcastle fans rip into Kenedy for West Ham performance

Kenedy completed 70 minutes in the defeat to West Ham on Saturday – and some of the Newcastle United fans on Twitter tear into him for the qualify of his performance.

The Magpies went into the contest on the back of three consecutive victories in the Premier League, but they were beaten 3-0 at St James’ Park by the Hammers.

Javier Hernandez stole the show for the visitors with his two goals either side of half-time, while Felipe Anderson added a late third in injury time,

Rafael Benitez’s side had a great record against West Ham in recent times, but were well off the pace as they dropped down to 14th in the league table.

A selection of Newcastle fans on social media singled out attacker Kenedy for criticism after his display and believe he was well off the pace.

The left-winger is an ever-present in the starting XI under Benitez, but has not been at his dazzling best since re-joining on loan in the summer from Chelsea and has just one goal all season.

The 22-year-old showed his creativity during the club’s winning run, but has been inconsistent so far this campaign.
