Vincent Janssen reportedly edging closer to ending Tottenham nightmare with Schalke move
Vincent Janssen w🔜ants to leave๊ Tottenham to revamp his career elsewhere this summer,
They that there are a host൲ of clubs interested in the Dutchman, from China and🥃 Belgium, but German side Schalke are in pole position.
That is not just in terms of their interest ‘being the most concrete’ but also because Janssen has seen what moving to the Bundes🀅liga has done for the career of his fellow Dutchman Davy Klaassen.
Just like Janssen, Klaassen came to England – with Everton – with a high reputation but the physical🔜ity of the league has meant he has never quite settled.
But Klaassen has now joined Werder Bremen and got his career back on track, and Janssen hopes that he ca🐬n do the same thing.
That will likely depend on Tottenham taking a hit 🐟on the () £17 million they paid for Janssen back in 2016.
But Janssen wants to leave and hopes he can have a similar transformation to Klaassen, having completely lost formไ꧋, fitness and the confidence of his manager Mauricio Pochettino.
That takes quite some doing, because Pochettino’s lack of transfer budget or squad depth has seen him persevere with the likes of ♌Moussa Sissoko and Fernando Llorente and be rewarded with performances that were key to Tottenham making the Champions League final.
But Janssen’s Spurs fate looks to have done past the point of no return now, and it would make sense for all concerned if he were allowed to leave and kickstart his🧜 career in Germany.
That said, if Daniel Levy is offered money from a Chinese Super League outfit, with a🥃ll the cash sloshing around over there, it would not be a surprise to see Janssen ferried off there.
