Villa signing warriors Slimani and Nzonzi would boost PL survival hopes
Aston Villa are in real trouble at the moment.
The club have lost club-record signing Wesley for the rest of the season due to injury.
Goals are often being given away far too cheaply, and there is definitely a feeling of anxiety in the crowd on matchdays at the moment.

Villa are heading for relegation if they don’t invest this January, and the powers that be have to act.
Two players that have been linked with moves to Villa Park are Steven Nzonzi and Islam Slimani.
N’Zonzi, who cost AS Roma £27 million to sign from Sevilla in 2017 (), has been on loan at Galatasaray this term but is unlikely to continue there, after getting hit with a suspension from the club.

Slimani is also on loan. The Leicester City striker, who cost £29 million from Sporting CP (), is currently with AS Monaco, where he’s scored seven goals in 14 games.
Villa completing deals for the pair might just save them from relegation this term.
TBR’s view – Nzonzi and Slimani will fight
Nzonzi and Slimani are both physical presences that relish winning individual battles.

Not only do they like to get stuck in and not shy away from challenges, but they also have brilliant aerial prowess, especially Slimani.
The pair are both comfortably over 6ft, meaning Villa would carry a far greater threat from set-pieces.
Right now, Villa need individuals who are going to fight all the way.
Nzonzi (with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City) and Slimani (on loan at Newcastle United) have both fought in relegation battles before and could be genuine Premier League status-saving additions by the Midlands club this January.
