Video: ‘Quality’ Leeds player nets two goals in 45 minute cameo as his country grab stunning 3-2 comeback win

Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra netted two goals as a substitute for Colombia as they came from behind to beat Mexico.

Colombia went in 2-0 down at half-time, when Sinisterra was summoned from the bench in place of former Manchester United and Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao.

He took just four minutes to make an impact, powering home a header from a Juan Cuadrado corner to make it 2-1.

Three minutes later, the scores were level via Sinisterra again, before Wilmar Barrios netted the winner with a shade over 20 minutes to go.

Sinisterra nets two quickfire goals as Colombia beat Mexico

Of course, the long trips for South American players during the international break are not ideal for Premier League sides and Leeds are no different.

But of course Sinisterra will benefit from the confidence of his two rapid goals and helping his side get the win – even if it was only in a friendly.

And he did at least get 45 minutes off, while Leeds are not back in action until Sunday when they host Aston Villa at Elland Road, giving him time to recover.

Fellow Leeds new-boy Rasmus Kristensen has been really impressed by Sinisterra,

He said: “We all have been watching Luis in pre-season and we know he’s quality. He’s shown it in the cup and now on the big stage. It’s nice for him and it’s good for us.”

Sinisterra will hope to bring this form back to Leeds as he looks to keep on impressing in his maiden campaign in English football.
