Video: Leeds bench and Marcelo Bielsa’s reaction to Jack Harrison goal against Newcastle
Jack Harrison arguably scored Leeds United’s best goal since the club returned to the Premier League from the Championship, as he struck a left-footed effort into the top corner from 25 yards – and below is how the Leeds bench reacted,
Harrison, 24, came into the match having been subjected to some criticism from Leeds fans for his recent performances – coinciding with defeats to Chelsea and West Ham United, and just four points from their previous possible 18.
But Leeds and Harrison rid themselves of that form with a stunning 5-2 win over Newcastle at Elland Road. Harrison scored the fifth but beforehand, Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo, Stuart Dallas and Gjanni Alioski had all found the back of the net.

Harrison, buoyed by a beautiful assist for Rodrigo’s goal, drove forward on the counter after a Newcastle corner and unleashed a pile driver that left Karl Darlow with no chance. The strike cemented what had been a stunning second-half display.
Despite dominating, fans on social media were growing increasingly concerned that Leeds would fail to get what they deserved – especially when Ciaran Clark headed in to make it 2-2. But three late goals secured the three points.
Leeds posted a video of the bench’s reaction to the five goals, with Bielsa most-animated when Harrison struck his effort into the top corner. The Argentine did three fist pumps, while the rest of the bench and substitutes celebrated.
