Arsenal star Martin Odegaard left fans in awe at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo last night as he helped Norway beat Armenia 9-0.

Yep, that’s not a typing error, they really did win 9-0! Stale Solbakken’s men were dominant from start to finish and put up a display that fans of Norway will remember for a long, long time in the capital city.

Erling Haaland scored a brace as did Alexander Sorloth, while Josh King bagged himself a hat-trick. Kristian Thorstvedt and Mats Møller Dæhli were the other two players who got on the score sheet in what was truly a demolition of the visitors.

Even though he didn’t get on the score sheet, Odegaard was absolutely brilliant for the Norwegians yesterday.

As he does with Arsenal, Odegaard mostly occupied the right side of the pitch for Norway against Armenia yesterday.

In a video recorded by a fan in the stands, we get an excellent angle of Odegaard’s brilliant skills and fantastic footwork.

The Norwegian initially pulls off a nutmeg on Erik Vardanyan and leaves him on the floor. Odegaard then showed off his quick feet by toying around with Hovhannes Harutyunyan, who didn’t know whether to go right or left.

If you turn up the volume, you can hear the fans being amazed by the Arsenal 23-year-old fantastic skills.

TBR View:

A lot was said about Martin Odegaard when Arsenal decided to make his initial loan move permanent last summer.

The 23-year-old was really good for the Gunners in the second half of last season, but his underwhelming direct goal contributions clouded many people’s judgement, and Mikel Arteta was criticised as a result.

However, Odegaard has proved many people wrong over the last few months. He has arguably been Arsenal’s best player and almost all the good things the Gunners do in attack go through him.

If Odegaard can keep up the same form until the end of the season, Arsenal should be able to get back into the top four for the first time since 2016.
