Video: Patrick Bamford scores overhead kick in Leeds training pre-Palace

Leeds United have been preparing for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace.

Jesse Marsch’s Whites are looking to put an end to their four-game winless streak.

Likewise, Patrick Vieira’s Eagles haven’t won in their last four matches.

Leeds could welcome Patrick Bamford back to the starting XI for the first time in almost two months.

His last start for Leeds came away at Southampton on 13 August, where he was withdrawn with an adductor injury.

Bamford has made only two substitute appearances since, but speaking ahead of the match, Marsch had good news.

“I think Patrick is fitter and he’s trained well this week, and I think he’s ready to go,” The Independent quotes Marsch as saying.

“So I think there’s a high likelihood that he’ll be ready from the start.”

And Bamford certainly looks raring to go, based on the latest footage of him in training.

Leeds shared a video from Thorp Arch where the 29-year-old, with his back to goal, controls the ball with his chest and scores with an overhead kick.

A succession of injuries limited Bamford to just 11 appearances last season, and sadly it’s not been much better this term.

But hopefully the man can now turn a corner and start featuring regularly for the Elland Road side.
