‘Very nice’… Kai Havertz absolutely loved what £50m Arsenal player did vs Brentford
Kai Havertz has lauded his Arsenal teammate Ben White after the defender provided a crucial assist on Saturday evening.
Arsenal picked up a narrow 2-1 win over Brentford thanks to a late Kai Havertz header.
The Gunners weren’t at their free-flowing best in the final third but goals from Declan Rice and Havertz secured a vital three points.
While Arsenal’s attacking players have so often provided in key moments of late, it was Ben White who created both of their goals on Saturday.

The defender delivered two brilliant crosses into the box to set up both Rice and Havertz.
Now, the latter has praised White for his role in Arsenal’s winner at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Havertz lauds White after Arsenal beat Brentford
Speaking to ’s official website, Havertz singled out White for praise after the defender managed to pick him out for the winner yesterday.
“I was just hoping that Ben would find me and it was a very nice cross,” Havertz said. “I was very free in the box and then obviously also a bit lucky with the goalkeeper but it was a very nice assist from Ben.
“I’m happy but I always want to become better and better. I know football always goes up and down and one week you’re the hero and the next week not, so I just try to work hard and keep the momentum going to help the team.”

White has really adjusted to his role at right-back and continues to impress under Mikel Arteta.
The Englishman is capable of providing quality in the final third and yesterday highlighted his ability to find one of his teammates on the box.
Arteta’s men moved to the top of the Premier League with a victory over the Bees, with Liverpool set to host Manchester City at Anfield today.
The Gunners will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on today’s clash in Merseyside. But Arsenal managed to do their part once again yesterday and remain firmly in the hunt for the title.
