‘Very close’…Sky Sports journalist has just shared a big update on Radu Dragusin and Tottenham

The race to sign Genoa defender Radu Dragusin is going to be a nailbiter for Tottenham fans it seems after another update on the Romanian.

Spurs had been hoping to get the deal for Dragusin over the line this week to follow what looks like a relatively straight forward deal to sign Timo Werner.

However, all is not completely cushty for Spurs when it comes to Dragusin.

Reports have suggested Bayern Munich are keen on the defender, while AC Milan are also believed to have asked about doing a deal as well.

And updating on the situation further tonight, shared yet more information on the Dragusin deal.

Time running out for Bayern to sign Radu Dragusin

Taking to his social media account over on X tonight, Plettenberg – who has been involved in this deal along the way – has said that time is now running out for Bayern to do the deal.

Instead, Plettenberg has said that Tottenham are now close to finding an agreement to sign Dragusin for around £25m and add-ons.

That news, of course, will be music to the ears of Ange Postecoglou, who will have been fearing the worst.

The end is nigh

Tottenham fans will be breathing one big sigh of relief if and when this one gets over the line.

They’ve gone from looking nailed on to get the deal done to then looking like being pipped by Bayern. To then see AC Milan involved has only confused matters further.

However, it does look like they might finally be getting somewhere.

Dragusin has apparently been clear on wanting to join Tottenham and it looks like the fact they’ve already agreed personal terms is moving things along well.

Hopefully, this will be one of the final updates Spurs fans have to see on Dragusin before he’s announced.

If not, then the supporters will be wondering what on earth is happening and the question marks will start to hang over Daniel Levy once more.
