Van Dijk delivers good news to Jurgen Klopp ahead of Liverpool versus Leeds
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has told Jurgen Klopp he is ‘200% fit’.
Speaking in his press conference, the German confirmed the Dutchman’s comments on his fitness.
The Reds were handed an injury scare during the Netherlands’ 6-1 win over Turkey on Wednesday.
Van Dijk limped off during the latter stages of the encounter after a high challenge from Halil Dervisoglu.
The 30-year-old immediately allayed fears over his fitness after the game in an interview with . And now Klopp has also confirmed the ace is fine.
Van Dijk has only just returned from a long-term injury suffered during the Merseyside derby last October.
A further injury would be devastating for the experienced centre-half.

Another van Dijk injury would be disastrous
One more serious injury and you fear the worst for the defender. It is most likely why he moved so quickly to swat away fears over his fitness.
At 30, anything can happen to the former Southampton defender. His body is not what it used to be and last campaign’s long-term injury may well take its toll.
Liverpool fans will be praying that is not the case, as the club looks to mount a serious title challenge this campaign.
