Matteo Guendouzi has not changed one bit as the Arsenal loanee made the headlines once again after an altercation with Patrick van Aanholt and other Galatasaray players in the Europa League last night.

The Frenchman has caused problems wherever he has been. He was banished from the side at Lorient for a while after an issue with the manager, while the same happened at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta last year.

Guendouzi was the future of Arsenal’s midfield in many people’s eyes. He was phenomenal in his debut season at the Emirates under Unai Emery, but an altercation with Neal Maupay followed by whatever happened behind the scenes with Arteta ended his Gunners career.

The 22-year-old was shipped out on loan to Marseille in the summer and he started for them in their Europa League clash against Galatasaray last night. The game ended 0-0, but what Guendouzi did in the final minutes has become a hot topic of discussion.

Fellow Arsenal loanee William Saliba and ex-West Brom striker Mbaye Diagne got into a fight in the 94th minute of the game. Both players grabbed each other’s necks and it really did look like they’d start swinging. Their teammates intervened and separated the duo.

Guendouzi, in typical fashion, got into a fight of his own. He had a lot to say to multiple Galatasaray players, especially van Aanholt, as the two locked heads a few minutes before the end of the game.

Van Aanholt has now had his say on the situation. He took to Twitter after the game and sent a strong message to Guendouzi along with a GIF of Marouane Fellaini pulling the Frenchman back by his hair.

“Running your mouth after VAR proved you wrong… likkleman needs to relax before I snatch that wig off your head,” he wrote in his .
