Uruguayan outlet shares when Bentancur is expected to be back in action for Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been sweating over the fitness of Rodrigo Bentancur in recent days.
The Spurs midfielder had to come off after just 34 minutes in Uruguay’s World Cup meeting with Ghana last week.
Bentancur only just made it past a third of the crucial game against the Black Stars when he pulled up in pain.

With Uruguay out of the World Cup, the 25-year-old will look to recuperate ahead of Tottenham’s return to action.
Now, Uruguayan outlet has provided an update on Bentancur’s injury and when he’s expected to be back for Spurs.
They claim that the Tottenham star has a five-millimeter tear in the adductor muscle of his right leg.
Bentancur is already back in London and working on his recovery, added the outlet.
In terms of when he’s expected to return to action for Spurs, they speculate that he ‘could return on January 1 against Aston Villa at home’.
This is due to Bentancur’s after accruing his fifth yellow card of the season against Leeds on 12 November.
It means the Tottenham star won’t be available against Brentford on Boxing Day, even if fully fit.

Fairly good news in terms of Bentancur’s availability. He is expected to be back at the first available opportunity (the Villa game).
It’s a shame that his World Cup journey ended at the group stage. Hopefully he can make up for it with success at club level.
