Arsenal’s social media producer, Samuel Gilbert, posted a picture of himself alongside Serge Gnabry yesterday, and that raised the excitement level among Gunners supporters.

If there’s one player that almost every Arsenal fan would love to see return to the Emirates, it’s Gnabry. The German international left the Emirates back in 2016 due to lack of regular game time, and just six years later now, he’s one of the best wingers in the world.

In 171 appearances for Bayern, Gnabry has scored 64 goals and provided 40 assists in all competitions. He has become a superstar now, but there’s a very real chance that he may leave the Bavarians this summer.

As unlikely as it is, Gunners fans are dreaming about seeing Gnabry return to the Emirates, and Gilbert’s social media activity yesterday sent fans into a tizzy.

To add fuel to the fire, the Gunners’ social media producer uploaded a picture of himself alongside Gnabry on his Instagram Stories yesterday. He even included two emojis – one of a house and another of an hourglass – possibly implying that the winger is coming home soon.

Fabrizio Romano that Bayern have made their best offer to Gnabry and the German has not accepted that. It has been claimed that the Bundesliga winners will not go beyond what they’ve offered him already, which could well open the door for other clubs to come in.

Gnabry definitely adores Arsenal but it really is difficult to see him return to the Emirates. If the Gunners had qualified for the Champions League, they might have had a small chance, but it’s extremely unlikely that the German would leave Bayern for Europa League football.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out in the next two months, but we can tell you for sure that Arsenal fans will not stop dreaming.
