‘Unbelievable’ Tottenham player set to be offered to other clubs after talks over move break down

It’s been a busy start to the summer transfer window for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur.

Archie Gray has officially sealed a switch to Tottenham, following Lucas Bergvall through the door after a deal was agreed for the Swedish youngster in January.

Timo Werner’s loan has also been extended by a further year after the RB Leipzig loanee proved useful last season.

But Spurs have been particularly busy when it comes to outgoings after Joe Rodon became the latest player to seal an exit on Tuesday. The Welshman has rejoined Leeds United on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell at Elland Road.

Tottenham also released the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga, Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon last month.

And with a host of names also in line for a summer exit, Spurs are set to offer one returning loanee out to other clubs.

Djed Spence set for Tottenham exit

It’s no secret that Djed Spence’s days at Spurs seem numbered after spending last season out on loan.

The full-back’s time at Elland Road was cut short in January, leading to him spending the second half of the season at Genoa.

Despite the Serie A club’s desire to land Spence permanently, it would appear that talks between Spurs and Genoa have broken down.

That’s according to BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella, who has shared the latest on Spence’s future.

Genoa ‘frustrated’ with Daniel Levy

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has earned the reputation of a tough negotiator and it would appear that Genoa have learned that the hard way.

Tottenham and Genoa has initially agreed an option for Spence to make the move permanent for a fee worth in January.

It would seem that Levy is sticking to his guns and now looking to pick up a similar fee elsewhere.

The breakdown in talks should come as no real surprise after reports claimed earlier this month that the Serie A outfit had grown ‘frustrated’ with Levy during negotiations.

Nevertheless, should Tottenham manage to pick up a better fee for the ‘’ full-back, Levy’s decision to hold out will have paid off.
