‘Unbelievable’… Thomas Frank now shares what he said to Aaron Ramsdale right after Arsenal vs Brentford
Thomas Frank has shared what he told Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale right after his side’s defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal picked up a 2-1 win over the Bees thanks to a late Kai Havertz header. The Gunners looked set to cruise to a comfortable victory after Declan Rice opened the scoring inside 20 minutes.
But a mistake from Aaron Ramsdale right on the stroke of halftime handed Thomas Frank’s side a leveller against the run of play.

Yoane Wissa closed the Englishman down inside the box and after Ramsdale delayed his clearance, the Bees striker blocked the ball, which bounced into the Arsenal net.
The mistake didn’t cost Arsenal in the end as Havertz popped up with a crucial winner.
Ramsdale also received praise from the likes of Gary Lineker after he recovered to make a couple of crucial saves in the second half.
And Frank has shared what he told the Arsenal shot-stopper after the full-time whistle on Saturday.
Frank shares what he said to Ramsdale after mistake vs Brentford
Of course, Ramsdale has barely featured this season due to the arrival of former Bees goalkeeper David Raya.
All eyes were certainly on the Englishman and after having barely anything to do in the first half, his error handed Brentford an unlikely leveller.
But Frank believes that the same could have happened to Raya and that is what he told Ramsdale after the game.
“I think I actually said to Ramsdale I don’t think he deserves to be criticised for a mistake,” the Bees boss said, as quoted by . “I think it’s more unbelievable pressure from Wissa. If you see the way he accelerates it could happen to David Raya.
“I think it was fantastic pressure from Wissa and if you saw how many times they went long every single time we were very brave to go man to man.”
“I said I think he’s a very good keeper and I didn’t want him to be involved in that situation,” he added. “Again I can’t say strongly enough I don’t think it was a mistake, but very good pressure from Wissa.”

You had to feel for Ramsdale after watching the ball hit the back of the net.
The 25-year-old has made the headlines this season after losing his place in the Arsenal side to Raya.
While Raya is expected to come back into the side as the Gunners host Porto tomorrow night, Ramsdale can hold his head high after Saturday’s display.
The goalkeeper ultimately kept Arsenal on level terms in the second half and barring his mistake, he put in a solid display between the sticks.
