‘Unbelievable’… Pundit suggests two ‘unstoppable’ Arsenal players almost remind him of Thierry Henry
Mario Melchiot has suggested that Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are almost competing with each other, as he claimed that defending against the Arsenal pair must be like what he felt coming up against Thierry Henry.
Arsenal have definitely found another gear of late. The Gunners have now won their last six domestic games, scoring 25 goals in the process and conce🎃ding just three.
There has been a real return to form for Bukayo Saka in recent times. Saka has been so consistent through🉐out his time in the Arsenal first-team. But his overall performances did not appear to be as impressive in the first-half of the campaign.

However, he has now scored seven in his last six appearances in all competitions. And with Kai Havertz silencing his doubters, and the likes of Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli really impressing, Arsenal have completely silenced those who insisted 𓆏that they needed to sign another striker in January.
And speaking on , Mario⭕ Melchiot suggested that two Arsenal players are evoking memories of some of the very best the Gunners have had in the Premier League era.
“Look at Saka, how many goals he’s scoring. The kid is unbelievable. Five games in a row? He is just making it feel like it is normal for him. And when he tak♋es you on; the worst part as a full-back, when you are one on one with a winger and the winger is that confident, he’s got pace and skill, and then he takes them on the inside and he scores that goal, but you know that you’re in trouble when he runs at you,” he said.
“I think that is one of the key things that they have on both sides. Mart꧅inelli and Saka are both ve꧒ry dangerous.
“And when they’re on top form, this Arsenal team, you’re going back to my time, Thierry Henry and Overmars, you guys were unstopp🍎able. Sometimes you play against them, you go like, ‘dudes, are you guys going to take a break?’ And I think that is what the wingers are doing right now. They don’t take a break, because they almost competing with each other in the sense oജf ‘I want you to do well, but I want to do well myself too’. And I think that’s what Arsenal is at the moment.”
Gunners definitely have a number of special players
Obviously, it is a massive call to even mention another player in the same sentence as T𓄧hierry Henry, in particular.
Of course, Melchiot is not suggesting that Saka or Martinelli are as good as the Frenchman, who, for this particular writer, is the greatest ♛player the Premier League has seen. But clearly, he has been hugely impressed by the Gunners pair.
There is no opportunity to double up on certain Arsenal players anymore. If you target Saka, you leave more space for the likes of Havert♍z, Gabriel Jesus, Odegaard or Martinelli to exploit.
