‘Unbelievable’ midfielder who Ange Postecoglou wants at Tottenham could be sold for £29m
Tottenham Hotspur fans appear slightly divided on the club’s business to improve Ange Postecoglou’s squad in the transfer window thus far.
On the one hand, Spurs have made impressive progress clearing out some players who Postecoglou didn’t envision in the club’s future.
TBR Football recently shared that Emerson Royal had agreed a deal to leave Tottenham – the club finally reached a deal with AC Milan.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Bryan Gil have also recently left the club, paving the way for better-suited options to come in.
In that regard, Tottenham have signed some exceptional youngsters, the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Yang Min-hyeok – three 18-year-old’s with huge futures ahead.
However, Spurs’ starting eleven hasn’t necessarily improved, even if Gray will contribute positively.
And that’s where the concern lies for many, the club are yet to quite match Postecoglou’s ambition to challenge for silverware immediately.
Atletico Madrid could sign Tottenham target Conor Gallagher for reduced fee
In terms of the club’s targets, Postecoglou has wanted Conor Gallagher at Tottenham for a long time, interest that refuses to go away.
Spurs have reportedly submitted bids for Gallagher in the past, only to then be left frustrated.

However, as we approach the final year of Gallagher’s contract at Chelsea, it seems as if Spanish side Atletico Madrid have made a significant breakthrough.
shared the news on X on Wednesday morning, stating that the two clubs were on the verge of an agreement,
And what may be most surprising from a Tottenham point of view is the fee involved, which could be as little as €35m (£29m).
Romano shared: “Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are on the verge of reaching an agreement for Conor Gallagher after talks in the last 24h.
“Story revealed on Tuesday morning, talks accelerated and €35/40m package almost agreed; small details to sort.
“It all depends on Conor’s decision.”
Of course, many Tottenham supporters may now be itching for the club to intervene, tabling a fresh bid of their own.
There’s no doubt that ‘unbelievable’ Gallagher could thrive under a manager like Postecoglou, and it would be odd if Spurs watched on as Atletico signed a player who the club have wanted for over a year.
In other news, Spanish press have been reacting to Bergvall’s start at Tottenham after the midfielder rejected a move to Barcelona in January.
