‘Unbelievable’ Arsenal youngster is now set to begin medical to join Manchester United
Arsenal may have had a fairly quiet summer transfer window so far but they are now looking set to lose one of their promising youngsters.
Mikel Arteta is now less than two weeks away from opening Arsenal‘s 2024/25 Premier League title pursuit against Wolves.
The Gunners have not exactly set the transfer market alight this summer with only Riccardo Calafiori through the doors at the Emirates.
However, Arsenal are still looking to sign Mikel Merino over the coming weeks after he has now just returned to Real Sociedad training.
But it now looks as if the Gunners are going to have to wave goodbye to one of their most promising young players who is set to become a Manchester United man.
Arsenal youngster set for Manchester United medical
United have made some impressive moves in the summer transfer window so far after confirming Erik ten Hag’s future at the club.
The additions of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro have shown the new ownerships plans to make a real difference at Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils are not discounting their long-term plans for the future as they now look to add one of the hottest youngsters about.
And as if adding an exciting young striker wasn’t good enough, United will be taking him away from their bitter rivals Arsenal.

According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, Chido Obi-Martin is now in Manchester ahead of his medical with the Red Devils.
It is claimed the terms have already been agreed between the player and United after he was released from the Gunners.
The striker is understood to have chosen United over interest from Germany as well as Arsenal who were keen to keep him in north London.
Ruud van Nistelrooy played big role in Chido Obi-Martin deal
The ‘unbelievable‘ young striker will mark a real coup for the Red Devils who has really impressed at youth level.
And it seems as if Manchester United – and current coach – Ruud van Nistelrooy may have just played a role in recruiting Obi-Martin.
“Understand Ruud van Nistelrooy held direct talks with Chido Obi-Martin to present him Man United project for long term,” said Fabrizio Romano.
“Van Nistelrooy, crucial to get the green light from Chido as deal is done and set to be signed.”
