Unai Emery reveals which Liverpool team is ‘better’ out of Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot’s sides
Liverpool take on Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday.
The Reds are seven points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table right now, and a win at Villa Park will put them in a much stronger position than they already are.
Arne Slot has done a remarkable job since taking charge of the Reds. He is one of the biggest reasons why they are where they are in the table right now.
But, which Liverpool side is better – the one managed by Slot or the successful team that played under Jurgen Klopp when he was at the helm?

Liverpool have been an incredible side for many years now.
Klopp will go down as a Liverpool legend for everything he did during his time at Anfield. He was the one who made Liverpool great again and won it all over the years.
Emery knows Klopp very well having faced him on many occasions, and he has come up against Slot’s Liverpool side once already this campaign as well.
That makes the Spaniard a great judge about which side is better, and he has now had his say ahead of the game on Wednesday night.
He said, as per : “I appreciate a very high performance they are getting this year, more than the last two years when I arrived here.
“Of course, with Klopp they did fantastic, but this year with Slot they are even doing better.
“For me as a coach, it’s really a big challenge, great challenge to try to be motivated, how we can collectively set our gameplan against them. It is the most difficult match we are going to play for the last weeks and months.”

Emery gets a lot of criticism at times, but he is one of the most successful managers in the game today.
The Spaniard has won 11 trophies over the years, four of which have been Europa Leagues. He is phenomenal and has the tactical acumen to beat any manager in the world.
However, Emery’s record against both Klopp and Slot is not great.

Slot beat Emery’s side in the reverse fixture in the Premier League earlier in the season, while Klopp got the better of the Spaniard on seven of the 11 occasions they came up against each other.
However, the one time Emery did beat Klopp was in the Europa League final back at the end of the 2015/16 season.
Emery’s Sevilla beat Klopp’s Liverpool 3-1 at St Jakob-Park in Switzerland.
