Two Tottenham players punished in-front of whole squad in training ahead of Champions League clash after losing passing exercise

Two Tottenham Hotspur players were punished in-front of the whole squad after losing a passing exercise ahead of their Champions League clash.

Spurs have travelled to Portugal to face Sporting Lisbon in their second game of the group stage.

Conte’s men got off to a winning start against Marseille last week after a brilliant display from Richarlison.

Tottenham were lacklustre for most of the game but once again managed to find a way to grind out the result.

And Conte has been putting his players through their paces ahead of their difficult away game tonight.

The Spurs squad were involved in a passing drill, with two players trying to dispossess them in the middle.

Harvey White and Ryan Sessegnon were the two players who lost out after failing to win the ball back.

And the pair were punished by Spurs coaches with push-ups.

Tottenham players punished in training

It’s great to see youngster Harvey White training with the first-team ahead of a big game.

The 20-year-old will only benefit from working with Conte’s men on a daily basis.

White has spent time on loan at Portsmouth last season and impressed on the south coast.

Sessegnon will be hoping to get the nod over Ivan Perisic tonight after missing out against Marseille last week.

The wing-back put in an impressive display against Fulham last weekend and is pushing Perisic for a place in Conte’s side.

Spurs face what is arguably their toughest test in Sporting tonight. Conte will be hoping his side have benefitted from a full week of preparations after Premier League games were postponed over the weekend.
