Two Tottenham players have returned to pre-season in amazing shape, Nuno’s so impressed – journalist

that Steven Bergwijn and Dele Alli have both returned to Tottenham Hotspur training in great physical shape.
Improving fitness
Both Bergwijn and Alli have points to prove at Tottenham this term, after rather disappointing seasons last time out.
Bergwijn could barely find his shooting boots, and ultimately lost his place in Jose Mourinho’s plans, while Alli never seemed to be in them.
There had been murmurings that both players could find themselves looking for a way out at Spurs this summer.
However, it seems that actually they are both determined to make an impression on Tottenham.
And Gold suggests that they have both caught their new manager’s eye already.
“Bergwijn showed lots of bright moments [in the Colchester friendly], he really worked very hard,” Gold said.
“What I’m told is that Bergwijn and Alli have both come back to pre-season in brilliant shape, like really top shape. Nuno has been really impressed with both.”

Better seasons?
Alli’s fitness levels should come as no surprise, as he documented his training regime over pre-season.
Alli used the off season to partake in some warm weather training abroad.
The Tottenham midfielder has already opened his scoring account in pre-season.
And with Nuno believed to want to play an attacking style at Spurs, Alli could really benefit from the managerial change.
