Two tackles, 93% pass rate: West Ham star finally starting to prove transfer fee
It was a brilliant night for Said Benrahma as he netted a brace for West Ham, but it was more than just the goals against Genk – as his stats prove.
Benrahma, 26, has been excellent for West Ham this season – but it comes off the back of a tricky first season, following his £30million () move.
The 12-time Algeria international only managed three goals in 36 games last term, but in 15 games, he already has double that tally this time around.
Netting a brace on Thursday, he helped secure a place in the top two of West Ham’s group – although Genk managed to secure a 2-2 draw in Belgium.
But it was not just his goals that proved decisive for David Moyes and West Ham. His overall stats, including his defensive work, was excellent.

Benrahma stats: West Ham star continues to prove his transfer fee
It was a lot of money. Costing as much as £30million, the pressure was on Benrahma to get back to the form he showed at Brentford before the move.
Perhaps that weighed the attacker down in his first season, but this time around, he has been near-perfect for the Hammers. Starring under Moyes.
On Thursday night, he got two goals – but say he also completed 93% of his passes, a huge 38 of 41. Three of those were key passes.
Benhrahma also proved effective without the ball, clocking up two tackles – and seven dribbles, more than any of his Hammers teammates.
