Two players could leave Tottenham in the next week, signings could also arrive
Despite all of the progress already achieved in January so far, it seems Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur side could still recruit further.
A number of Spurs players still seem as if they could leave the club before the month closes, departures that could present an opportunity.

Perhaps of the senior squad, Bryan Gil, Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could be the most likely candidates to leave in the next week.
Royal’s future has been slightly in doubt owing to a bid from Saudi Arabia.
However, Tottenham have now made their stance on any deal pretty clear.
But that does still leave Gil and Hojbjerg as two potential candidates to raise funds for Postecoglou to work with.
Newcastle United are now interested in a deal for Hojbjerg, even if it is likely to be on loan.
And that being said, journalist Dan Kilpatrick has now been rounding up the latest on Spurs’ chances of signing further players on ‘’ podcast.
Kilpatrick agreed that both Gil and Hojbjerg could still leave in January, and explained that could lead a new Tottenham recruit.
Tottenham could still recruit in January if they sell Bryan Gil and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Speaking on the podcast, Kilpatrick said: “I still think there’s work to do, I still think they’re looking at things, but I think we’re now back in the position probably that Spurs have often found themselves in in January where they’re probably looking at one in, one out.
“They’re looking to sell before they can buy.

“I’m looking at the squad and Hojbjerg is the obvious one attracting interest from European clubs, Juventus are the latest linked with him.
“I think it’s pretty obvious that he wants to go and play more regularly and probably doesn’t really suit Ange’s system.
“Bryan Gil is another one, I think Spurs would look at a permanent deal for him after a succession of loans since he signed.
“And then if either or both of them go then I think there could be replacements coming in.”
Of course, it would be incredibly impressive if Tottenham were able to recruit anymore key signings in January.
Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou clearly approached the window with a well considered plan, one they’ve been able to execute.
But the side will also be ready for the unpredictable, which could create an opportunity.
And perhaps it’s not too late for Spurs to sign a midfielder who would demonstrate real ambition.
