Two key Tottenham players missing from today’s training session before Sporting – journalist
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cristian Romero are not involved in Tottenham training today ahead of the Champions League match against Sporting.
Hojbjerg missed the 2-1 defeat against Newcastle United on Sunday, when his absence was keenly felt as Spurs played poorly.
Romero also did not play in that game, with Davinson Sanchez in the team instead on the right hand side of the defence.
And it looks like both men are still facing a race against time to be fit for the crucial European clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Romero and Hojbjerg absent from Tottenham training before Sporting
Journalist Rob Guest tweeted a video of the training session ahead of the home match and neither man was seen out on the grass.
added: “Spurs fans want to see the training today, and you can see there that there is no Cristian Romero or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg out there.
“Antonio Conte said they have slight injuries and they missed the game against Newcastle on Sunday.
“Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison are still out, and Tottenham have really missed them. We will be speaking to Conte around 2pm.”
Hojbjerg scored and played exceptionally well in Tottenham’s last Champions League game, as they came from behind to beat Eintracht Frankfurt.
That result put them top of the group with two games remaining, one point ahead of tomorrow night’s opponents going into the match.
Romero and Hojbjerg would be big misses on a huge night for Tottenham and Conte, and they really need to get back to winning ways.
