Two interceptions, five tackles and best Rangers pass rate: £10m star will be vital for van Bronckhorst
Glen Kamara produced a stellar display as Rangers beat Sparta Prague 2-0 at Ibrox – and his stats show he will be crucial for Gio van Bronckhorst.
Kamara, 26, had been in and out of the Rangers side of late – being an unused substitute in two of his last four games for the Gers.
But the Finland international was thrown into the side by van Bronckhorst in a slightly-different looking midfield – a 4-2-3-1 formation at Ibrox.
Kamara partnered Steven Davis, while Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi played as an attacking threesome – with the trio interchanging throughout.
£10million-rated Kamara () lasted the entire 90 minutes, as Alfredo Morelos notched both goals to send Rangers into the last 32.

Kamara stats: Rangers star proves he will be vital to van Bronckhorst
With van Bronckhorst playing a more-attacking side, with just two holding midfielders instead of the previous engine room of three, stamina is key.
Kamara has it in abundance. Compared to his midfield competition, it is fair to say that the ex-Arsenal man is probably the player with the biggest lungs.
His stats show just how important he was. Five tackles – more than any other player – and his side’s best past rate at a lofty 87.3%.
In actual terms, he completed a huge 48 of 55 passes. Two interceptions, two headers won, and more touches with 72 – Kamara was impeccable.
His defensive work rate in front of the back four, and his passing when in possession – makes him ideal for van Bronckhorst’s Rangers.
