Two Arsenal-linked players earn just 3/10 for their international displays last night
Houssem Aouar and Odsonne Edouard, two players linked with Arsenal in recent months, were in action for France Under-21s on Monday night.
Aouar is believed to be a long-time target for the Gunners, with reporting that Mikel Arteta and Edu are big fans of the Lyon midfielder.
, meanwhile, claimed in April that Edouard is on Arsenal’s shortlist of attacking targets this summer.

However, both struggled on Monday night as Les Espoirs fell to a 2-1 defeat to Netherlands U21s in the Euro U21 championship quarter-finals.
Highly-fancied France took the lead at the Bozsik Arena thanks to Ibrahima Konate’s 23rd-minute header.
However, Myron Boadu equalised for the Dutch on 50 minutes before scoring the winner deep in injury time.
Actufoot provided ratings and opinions on each of France’s players for their displays on the night.
And sadly, both Aouar and Edouard were the lowest-rated.
gave Aouar a 3/10 and wrote: “His return with Les Espoirs will not be remembered.
“Put on the left side of Sylvain Ripoll’s 4-4-2, he did not prove to his advantage.
“He lost a lot of balls and despite waking up late in the game he failed to realize his chances. A match to forget.”
Edouard also got 3/10, with Actufoot writing: “The top scorer for the France U21s was ghostly (anonymous) tonight.
“Even if at the start of the match he was present with a good back-to-goal play, he fizzled out over the course of the game before making way for Amine Gouiri.”
Actufoot even slated Ripoll for not taking Aouar and Edouard off earlier.
“How could he let Houssem Aouar finish this game and Odsonne Edouard stayed so long on?” they asked.
TBR View:
Both Aouar and Edouard are top players, as they’ve proved over the past few years.
One bad display is unlikely to change fans’ opinions on them.
Arsenal are in major need of a rebuild and two of France’s most highly rated young players would be a great addition to the Emirates.
