Turkish clubs interested in ‘brilliant’ Premier League player who Leeds made offer for

Leeds United had a busy summer in which the Whites saw a number of key players from last season depart for huge fees.

Almost £150m was raised in player sales as the likes of Georginio Rutter, Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville all left Elland Road, with Leeds managing to recruit well with the additions of Joe Rodon, Largie Ramazani and Ao Tanaka.

With automatic promotion the goal for Daniel Farke’s side this season, Leeds will be intent on undoing their failure from last season after missing out on a return to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.

Yet one player rumoured with a move to Leeds could now heading to Turkey.

Leeds target Philip Billing eyed by Turkish giants

According to , Trabzonspor and Galatasaray are eyeing AFC Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing, with the Danish international a target for the Turkish sides ahead of the window closing next week.

With the report stating that Billing has had an offer from Leeds amid strong interest from the Whites, the Cherries star making the move to the Turkish Super Lig would be viewed as quite the blow for the Yorkshire side.

Noted as a ‘brilliant’ midfielder, Billing would have been quite the addition for Leeds in their bid to once again win promotion back up to the Premier League this season.

However, interest from Trabzonspor and Galatasaray would be worrisome for Leeds, who might have counted on Billing remaining at Bournemouth until January to make a move for the Dane.

Leeds might regret not pushing hard enough for Billing

Billing is one of Bournemouth’s most experienced players in the Premier League, with the midfielder a prime target for a Champiosnhip club like Leeds to make a splash in the transfer market.

Yet with two top teams from Turkey now keeping tabs on Billing ahead of their deadline day next week, Leeds could regret not pushing hard enough for the Bournemouth dynamo.

Billing could have been an outstanding addition for Leeds this season, and the Whites will rightly feel frustrated if the midfielder ends up moving to Turkey in the coming days.
