Tuchel once waxed lyrical about Arsenal linked Thilo Kehrer
Thomas Tuchel once praised Arsenal target Thilo Kehrer during his days managing Paris Saint Germain.
According to Foot Mercato, the Gunners have ‘looked into’ the case surrounding the 24-year-old.
Kehrer joined the Ligue 1 giants back in the summer of 2018 for a fee believed to be £33m.
However, he endured a tough time with the Parisiens last season. The Germany international suffered numerous fitness issues, including a long-term adductor injury.
As a result, he played just 33 times across all competitions, missing out on Germany’s squad for Euro 2020.
Speaking about the full-back, the German manager lauded the versatile figure, claiming he is the sort of player ‘any coach would like to have’.
When talking about Kehrer, : “Thilo is a very committed player, very professional. I like his personality, he already has a certain maturity as he’s captain of Germany’s Under-21 side.
“He’s quick, able to play in any of the four positions at the back, is two-footed, and can even play as a defensive midfielder. He’s the sort of player any coach would like to have.”

TBR View: Kehrer would be an astute signing for Arsenal
Arsenal’s search for a right-back seems to be hotting up this summer.
According to reports last week, Hector Bellerin has agreed on terms to join Inter Milan. It leaves the Gunners needing a replacement right-back for the Spaniard.
Kehrer, PSG’s , would be an astute signing for Arsenal amid praise from Tuchel.
The 24-year-old’s versatility makes him an outstanding target among the many who have been linked. His ability to switch between centre-half and right-back makes him an attractive prospect.
He would also suit Mikel Arteta’s style of play, having completed of his passes last season. It was almost 10% higher than managed.
For the right price, Kehrer would be a great signing for Arsenal in their hunt for a new right-back.
