Trent Alexander-Arnold says Everton have a player who doesn’t get enough credit

England fell just short at Euro 2024, but there were plenty of reasons to be positive after this tournament.

Indeed, there were so many moments to rem💙ember in Germany, from Jude Bellingham’s bicycle kick to Ollie Watkins’ late goal against the Netherlands.

However, perhaps the best moment of the tournament from an England perspective was the win on penalties against S𝐆witzerland in the semi-finals.

The Three Lions won 5-3 on penalties against the Swiss with all f⛦ive of England’s players comfortably convert♚ing their spot kicks.

The likes of Ivan Toney and Bukayo Saka got 💮plenty of praise afte✱r the shootout, but one unsung hero of the match was Jordan Pickford.

Indeed, it was ultimately Pickford’s save from Manuel Akanji’s penalty that earned England a spot in the semi-finals, but he didn🥀’t get that many headlines after the match.

Speaking to The Mirror, Trent Alexander-Arnold has given Pickford his du⛦e pra😼ise, claiming that he has an outstanding mentality and that he doesn’t get enough credit.

Trent Alexander-Arnold praises Jordan Pickford

The Liverpool star spoke highly of the Everton goalkeeper.

“I knew my spot, it was about executing it and having the right mindest. Everyone had an out𝐆standing mentality going into it. That’s including Pickford too who often doesn’t get spoken about, he saved one of the penalties that let us go and win it as well.”

Pickford is one of England’s best ever

Jordan Pickford may not get the credit ꦰhe deserves, but make no mistake about it, he’s one of the best goalkeepers to ever wear an England shirt.

Of course, Gordon Banks is 💖a World ♛Cup winner, but in terms of stepping up in the big moments and saving his team’s skin, there may not be a goalkeeper in England’s history who has done as much as Pickford.

Pickford des👍erves all of the praise that comes his way, that’s for sure.
