‘Tremendous attitude’… Graeme Souness likes Chelsea player Tottenham want to sign in January
Graeme Souness has given his verdict on Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher amid interest from Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur.
While the Liverpool legend does not think that Gallagher is a great leader, he is a fan of the Chelsea midfielder’s attributes as a footballer.
So, what has Graeme Souness said about Conor Gallagher? Let’s take a look.
Graeme Souness gives verdict on Conor Gallagher
Well, Graeme Souness has been sharing his thoughts on Chelsea this season in The Daily Mail.
The Liverpool legend has noted that despite spending loads and loads of money on players, Chelsea are lacking a top-quality striker.
The talkSPORT pundit has also said that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners do not have enough leaders.
While praising Conor Gallagher as a footballer, the former Tottenham Hotspur prospect has raised doubts about whether he is a leader.

According to , Tottenham are keen on signing Gallagher in the January transfer window. Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that Chelsea want a guaranteed £45 million for him.
Souness wrote about Gallagher in : “It looks to me like they don’t have any real leaders. Connor Gallagher has been captain on some occasions and when you watch him play, there’s nothing to dislike.
“Good technically. Good athlete. Tremendous attitude. But is there that presence in the dressing room and beyond where others would be seeing him as their leader?”
My View: Conor Gallagher could make Tottenham Hotspur better
In my opinion, Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher would be a brilliant signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window or the future.
I believe that Gallagher is one of the best young midfielders in the Premier League. You just have to read what Chelsea head coach has about him to know just how highly he is rated.
Gallagher is a very dynamic midfielder who can drive the team forward, hold his own in the middle of the park, impose himself on the game, and be a force to be reckoned with.
Tottenham are playing dynamic and attacking football under head coach Ange Postecoglou, and I think that Gallagher would fit into the former Celtic manager’s system perfectly.
