Saint-Maximin was in brilliant form for Eddie Howe’s side before suffering the setback against Wolves.
The former OGC Nice man had scored one goal and provided two assists in four appearances for the Magpies.
Howe will be hoping to get Saint-Maximin back to full fitness as soon as possible with a busy schedule around the corner before the World Cup next month.
