Tottenham’s pursuit of Ginter hints at planning for life without Alderweireld
Tottenham are keeping tabs on Borussia Monchengladbach central defender Matthias Ginter over a potential summer move,
They that the north London club have had their eye on the German international since he left Borussia Dortmund – who Tottenham face in the Champions League last 16 later this month – in 2017 and are ready to go back in for him again this summer.

Ginter has the right age profile – at 25 – and experience, with 23 international caps, to be what Spurs are looking for if Alderweireld leaves the club, provided they can see off Arsenal to his signature.
