Tottenham’s James Maddison names Manchester United legend as the greatest Premier League player ever
Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison has named a Manchester United icon as his pick for the Premier League’s greatest ever player.
The Tottenham midfielder took part in TN🍎T Sports’ 20 Questions segment, in which he was quizzed on a variety of topics relating to football and other sports.
And when it came to Maddison’s choice for the greatest Premier League player of all time, the Spurs ace opted for a Manchester United legend who’s right up there in the record books.

The player Maddison picked is Wayne Rooney, who had a stratospheric career at Manchester United and Everton, a🔯nd also dazzled for England at i🔯nternational level.
Maddison was asked who he felt was t✃he greatest Premier League football ever, and he r🧔eplied: “We’re gonna go Wayne Rooney.”
Ther꧃e are many players that could be discussed as candidates for the greatest Premier 🍌League player of all time, including Tottenham icon Harry Kane.
However, Spurs fan🅷s will likely be happy enough with Maddison picking Rooney, as his stats speak f🀅or themselves.
Also, at least he didn’t ꦺpick anyone꧃ from Tottenham’s North London rivals.
Rooney’s Man United heroics
Rooney came to the fore at Everton in the early 2000s, bursting onto the scene with a superb long-range effort against Arsenal in October 2002 to give the Toffees a 2-1 win and end the Gunner𒀰s’ 30-game unbeaten run.
He spent two seasons at Goodison Park before moving to Manchester United for £25.6 milliꦚon in the 2004 summer transfer 💧window, where he went on to win 16 trophies with the Red Devils.
