Video: ‘Really tough’ Tottenham teen spotted in training pre-Liverpool, he seems established under Conte

It’s Tottenham against Liverpool this weekend in what could be a huge game in the race for the Premier League title and Champions League spots.

For home side Liverpool, anything but a win is likely to allow Manchester City to edge ahead in the race for top spot. While for Tottenham, they know a defeat could see Arsenal pull clear in the race for fourth before the teams face off next week.

Tottenham know they need to try and pull a result out of the bag, especially with Arsenal facing an out of sorts Leeds side this weekend. And as usual, preparations are well under way at Hotspur Way, with the club releasing its latest behind the .

Among all the usual training drills and words of encouragement from the coaching staff, one note to make for those eagle-eyed onlookers was the inclusion once more of young Spurs talent, Matthew Craig. The teenager is not brand new to first-team action, after initially being included back in February.

However, the fact Craig is still involved suggests he is doing enough to impress Antonio Conte. And that in itself can be taken as a small win for the youngster.

If you’re being included in the first-team training sessions on a regular basis, then you’re obviously doing something right aren’t you.

Craig is clearly impressing the coaching staff down at Tottenham and at the moment, that’s all he can. If he can keep in their sights, then come the summer he might get a chance in pre-season to lay down a marker.

Conte, as we know, wants serial winners in his squad and will demand plenty of signings. However, there could be a pathway for the younger players, and Craig is certainly doing his best to make an impression.
