Tottenham would regret missing out on hugely underrated defender Lewis Dunk
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly losing out to Chelsea in the race to sign Lewis Dunk.
the Blues have stolen a march on their London rivals for the Brighton defender, with a £40 million move in the offing.
Apparently Frank Lampard sees the Englishman as a means of shoring up his defence, which shipped an alarming 54 league goals in 2019/20.

Chelsea have seemingly switched their attention to Dunk after reportedly being quoted a whopping £80 million by West Ham United for Declan Rice ().
The development is a blow for Tottenham, who are one central defender down having recently bid farewell to Jan Vertonghen.
One wonders if talks may be too far advanced between Chelsea and Dunk now, and if he does go to Stamford Bridge it could be a big regret for the north Londoners.
TBR’s View – Dunk massively underrated
Simply put, Dunk is one of the most underrated central defenders in the Premier League.
The star rarely puts a foot wrong for Brighton and often flies under the radar as a result of playing for one of the smaller clubs in the English top-flight.

He is a no-nonsense individual that will always put his body on the line and is a fantastic leader, and how he only has one England cap is actually a bit of a travesty.
, Dunk averaged 3.4 clearances per 90 in 2019/20, as well as 1.1 tackles, and 1.5 interceptions. Impressively, he was also only dribbled past 0.5 times per 90, further suggesting him as a solid centre-half.
Certainly if he was in Tottenham’s ranks, one would imagine Gareth Southgate would be routinely picking him in his Three Lions squads.
If there is any hint his proposed move to Chelsea could be hijacked, Spurs should be all over it.
