Tottenham will struggle to sign either Barnes or Sarr this month – journalist

Journalist Dean Jones has told that he cannot see Tottenham Hotspur being able to sign Harvey Barnes from Leicester City during the January transfer window, while he also believes that Ismaila Sarr will be tough for Spurs to land.

Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen in the final third this month. The absences of Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have highlighted that they need further depth in that area of the field.

And recently named a host of attacking players on their radar. Their report suggested that Fabio Paratici is a massive fan of Barnes.

Jones doubts Tottenham will sign Barnes or Sarr

The Tottenham chief likes how versatile the Foxes forward is. Meanwhile, it was also suggested that they are monitoring Sarr, who has previously impressed in the top-flight with the Hornets.

Obviously, January is a difficult window to do significant business in. So it may not come as a huge surprise to Spurs fans that Jones cannot see either Barnes or Sarr ending up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Other Spurs targets, like Harvey Barnes, I can’t see them managing to get him in this window,” he told .

“Ismaila Sarr, Watford don’t want to sell him. So none of those are particularly easy to do.”

Barnes would be a really impressive signing for Spurs. He has scored six goals for a struggling Leicester side this season. Meanwhile, he has 68 goal involvements in 166 games for Leicester overall.

He is someone Jurgen Klopp believes is ‘‘. And the Foxes have previously set an asking price of £60 million.

Spurs meanwhile, may have perhaps hoped that Watford being outside the top-flight would help them pinch Sarr. The Hornets are going to need something special to secure automatic-promotion.

But clearly, Watford feel that those hopes will be dashed entirely if they cash in on the Senegal international this month.

It appears that unlikely that either will end up at Tottenham. But of course, much can change by the time the deadline passes.
