Report: Tottenham now want to sign ‘unbelievable’ player whose ex-manager said had the ‘X-factor’ about him
🌺Tottenham are eyeing up a surprise move to bring in Leeds United and Wales winger, Daniel James, according to reports.
🐲 built on emerging reports from the afternoon to say that James is indeed on Tottenham’s list of potential targets, as Antonio Conte looks to bring in a replacement for the soon to be departed Bryan Gil.
꧟Conte has already said that if players leave then someone will have to come in and it seems with Gil close to joining Valencia, the Spurs boss is looking at options to replace him, with James being considered.
𓃲 reports that James is a player on the list for Spurs, albeit there is nothing down the line just yet when it comes to the former Manchester United winger.
ಌDescribed by Peter Schmeichel as being ‘unbelievable’ at times and by as being a player who hold the ‘X-Factor’, James has flourished at times since moving to Elland Road.
🧜Leeds would likely look to recoup a big fee for James though. They only signed him not long ago for around £20m themselves and there would have to be some serious negotiation done by Spurs should they wish to take him from the North London club.

🐠It just doesn’t seem a smart move this for either party. James doesn’t improve the Spurs XI and for the player himself, he’d be sitting on the bench in a World Cup year.
🍬For now, James is playing well in Leeds and looks to be a key player under Jesse Marsch. To throw that away now and go and become a squad player, even for a Champions League club, would seem an odd move all around.
