Tottenham want to replace Emerson Royal with ‘amazing’ £25m defender
Tottenham Hotspur already have a defender lined up to replace Emerson Royal.
The North Londoners have been negotiating with AC Milan for weeks but finally, it seems they’re close to agreeing on the sale of Emerson.
The Brazilian full-back is set to command a fee in the region of £15m which may go straight onto the signing of a promising defender on the continent.

Tottenham want to sign Michael Kayode
According to , Tottenham Hotspur view Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode as a replacement for Emerson Royal.
Kayode, who has been labelled as ‘amazing’ per FirenzeViola, is believed to have a £25m asking price, though, the report claims they could lower their demands because they are yet to make a substantial sale this window.
The 20-year-old can operate at both right-back and left-back, evincing his terrific versatility – a trait Ange Postecoglou is big on.
Aston Villa just had a bid knocked back for Kayode, so Spurs aren’t alone in their interest.
Tottenham also want a forward
As well as Kayode, Tottenham are also thought to be keen on bringing in another attacker this summer.
Juventus wide player Federico Chiesa has been heavily linked with a move to the Lilywhites, though, they have yet to submit a bid.
Juve are looking for a fee of around £25m to sanction the sale of Chiesa, who is out of contract in a year’s time.
Santiago Gimenez has also been mooted as a target, so too has Pedro Neto, though those two will cost considerably more than Chiesa.
The Lilywhites also may opt against bringing in another attacker after the emergence of Will Lankshear, who has shone in pre-season.
