Tottenham target Andrea Belotti unlikely to sign new contract at Torino

Tottenham could land Torino striker Andrea Belotti for nothing next summer, after his current chairman admitted the likelihood of the forward signing a new deal was unlikely.

Belotti has been long linked with a move to the Premier League. And when Antonio Conte took over from Nuno Espirito Santo, reports in Italy immediately linked Belotti with Tottenham. At the time, it was claimed that Belotti was among three Torino players the new Spurs boss watching.

Belotti has only scored two goals this season for the italian outfit. He did, however, knock in last season and has 12 in 41 for the Italian national team. And according to an update shared by Fabrizio Romano, the likelihood of Belotti staying with Torino is low.

The update from Torino’s president will be of interest to Conte, Fabio Paratici, and Tottenham, especially with the future of Harry Kane still in doubt.

TBR’s View: Belotti For Free To Tottenham Is Quite The Bargain

Sometimes, there are players who come up on the market who you have to say are simply too good to ignore and turn down. Belotti is a quality striker, and at 27, is coming into his prime years.

There is a feeling that he might have taken his time with Torino as far as he can. A fresh start, then, possibly with Spurs, could be the kickstart the Italian needs at this stage.

If Spurs want to give Antonio Conte fresh tools to compete, and do it at a bargain price, then landing Belotti either at a knockdown price in January, or for free, is a no-brainer.
