Report: Tottenham now have eyes on ‘special’ forward, just six months after Arsenal nearly signed him
Tottenham Hotspur continue to push on in their attempts to sign new players and has listed former Arsenal target, Alexander Isak, as a name of interest.
Isak’s name was prevalent throughout January of course. The Swedish striker was said to feature high on the list of potential Arsenal signings. Indeed, there As we know, nothing materialised, and Isak remained in Spain.
But according to , Isak remains a player of interest when it comes to Tottenham. Isak’s season has been a tad underwhelming though. He only scored six goals in La Liga and only hit double figures thanks to some added strikes in Europe.

Labelled as a ‘special’ talent and still only 22, there is plenty to like about Isak’s game. Indeed, he shone in Euro 2020 and essentially put himself on the map with that performance after 17 goals the season before.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are looking to sign a number of players this summer. Signing a striker is always hard for Spurs, with any new face knowing they’ll be second fiddle behind Harry Kane.
TBR’s View: Isak An Expensive Second Option For Tottenham
There will come a point where Spurs do need that second striker. Maybe it is this season, with Champions League football now to content with as well.
Ultimately, whoever comes in is going to need to be a good professional who knows their role in the team and challenges Kane in training. The England skipper isn’t going anywhere fast, so it’s a crucial role really.
Isak would fit the bill in terms of ability and potential for Spurs. However, Sociedad will want big money, so the question is whether Spurs want to spend so big on a second attacking option.
